Joan McKinnon

Joan was born and raised in Maryland.  In 1974 her adventurous nature led her to hitch hike to Alaska with her backpack; and she never looked back.  She met her husband in Anchorage and they were married in 1982.  Joan is the mother of two darling dogs, a Lhasa Apso and a Shitzu;  they also parent 2 "cute kitties."  Joan says, "We are a nondenominational family."

 Her 22 years in the travel business helped contribute to her insight of the importance of client-customer service.  She enjoys working one on one with buyers and sellers and welcomes a challenge.  Joan has been licensed since 2004 and finds her job both exciting and gratifying.

*        Attained GRI, Graduate Realtor Institute 2007

Joan was an active participant in the Turnagain Neighborhood recycling effort for the past 10 years, until Waste Management was finally able to institute the Curbside Recycling Program

Friends of Pets and the Dog Jog fund-raiser are two of Joan's favorite charities. She has been one of their top pledge earners for the past 5 years.
