This event was a must-see for anyone exploring new construction homes in Alaska — and I had the opportunity to tour five incredible homes that stood out for quality, innovation, and location.

🏡 Spinell Homes – Tumbleweed Floor Plan (Palmer)

Spinell Homes delivered a functional yet stylish design with their “Tumbleweed” model in Palmer’s Hidden Ranch subdivision. This home features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, ADA-compliant layouts, and a two-car garage — all on a half-acre lot. With access to city water and sewer, this location is ideal for buyers wanting space without sacrificing convenience.

🪵 Arctic Valley Construction – Fully Custom Owner-Designed Home

This home was a showstopper. Built by Arctic Valley Construction, it reflects the owner's personal vision with custom wood accents, a freestanding wood-burning stove, and panoramic mountain views to the north. The two-bedroom, two-bath layout feels spacious thanks to smart design, a 773 sq ft garage, and an open-concept living space that blends functionality with rustic charm.

🌼 Drobenko Investments – The Wildflower Plan

Drobenko’s “Wildflower” model features four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a three-car garage spread across 2,385 square feet. Highlights include sparkling stonework, premium Andersen windows, unique trim detail, and a clear, unobstructed backyard. This home strikes a balance between luxury and privacy — making it perfect for family living in Wasilla.

🏞️ Hall Quality Homes – Deshka Floor Plan

The “Deshka” model by Hall Quality Homes was a 1,503 square foot gem tucked into a wooded lot. With three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a two-car garage, it offers both privacy and practicality. The cohesive blue and brown exterior, custom tile work, and thoughtful interior design make this a standout entry for budget-conscious buyers who don’t want to compromise on aesthetics.

🧱 JDL Enterprises – A Top Contender for 2025

This four-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom home by JDL Enterprises was my personal favorite. The home features a 1,300 sq ft garage, custom stone fireplace, beautifully crafted trim and lighting, and one of the most thoughtfully designed kitchens I’ve toured. The island detail, prep area, and storage made this home feel like luxury at every turn — a strong contender for best new construction home in Palmer this year.
